Flowers for mum

Flowers take a big part in my artwork as well as in my life. My first memories as a child take place in the garden of my house surrounded by roses that my mother had grown from cuttings.
In "Flowers for mum" I wanted to capture that essence of my childhood and translate it to a painting.
By adding recycled paper I created the vase which I find it gives an extra layer to the work.

Painted in 2020 its measures are 70 x 100 cm
