Abrahán Batres

Multidisciplinary artist from Spain

At the age of eighteen, he began to materialize the ideas embodied in sketches during previous years through painting and sculpture. During these years he developed a symbolic figurative language, sometimes evoking dreamlike elements, with great personal and autobiographical charge.

In 2019 he was selected to be part of the collective exhibition of the JABA Contest in his hometown of Badajoz, later showing in Mérida and Elvas.

His first solo exhibition "Awakenings" was held in February 2020 at the Young Factory in Badajoz, being a very satisfactory experience that encouraged him to continue sharing his work.

In September 2020 he inaugurated his second solo exhibition "Interior landscapes" in VS 22 Space in Badajoz.

In November 2020, this show travelled to Mérida to be shown at the Vía de la Plata room, belonging to the CB foundation.

"Reflections", his third solo show, is now at display at Espacio Artilugio in Salamanca.

To this day, he continues to investigate new forms of artistic expression such as embroidery, collage or mixed media sculptures.
